Overview

AudioNeo (audioneo.net) is committed to protecting your privacy. Our core principle is simple: your audio and video files never leave your device. All processing happens entirely in your web browser using FFmpeg WebAssembly.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any of the following:

• Audio files (MP3, WAV, OGG, AAC, M4A) you upload or process
• Video files (MP4, MKV, MOV, AVI) you upload for audio extraction
• Processed output files or conversion results
• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Account credentials or passwords
• Payment information (the service is and will remain free)

How Processing Works

All audio operations — including format conversion, trimming, joining, volume adjustment, speed change, compression, and video-to-audio extraction — are performed locally in your browser using FFmpeg WebAssembly (ffmpeg.wasm). Your files are processed in browser memory and never uploaded to our servers or any third-party server.

When you close the browser tab, all in-memory data is cleared. There is no server-side retention of your files at any point.

Analytics

We use a single privacy-respecting analytics service — Baidu Analytics (百度统计) — to understand general website usage patterns. Baidu Analytics collects anonymous, aggregated data such as:

• Page views and visitor counts
• Browser type, operating system, screen resolution
• Referring website (the site you came from)
• Country and city (derived from IP, not stored with personal identifiers)

Baidu Analytics does not collect your audio/video files, processing results, or any personally identifiable information beyond what is listed above.

Cookies

AudioNeo uses minimal cookies only for essential website functionality, such as:

• Language preference (EN / 中文)
• Baidu Analytics session tracking (anonymous)

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or third-party tracking cookies from advertising networks.

Third-Party Resources

The following resources may be loaded from third-party domains. None of them receive your audio or video files:

• hm.baidu.com — Baidu Analytics tracking (anonymous page view data only)
• cdn.jsdelivr.net / unpkg.com — FFmpeg WASM library hosting (loaded on demand; you can also use our self-hosted copy at /lib/)

Open-Source Libraries

AudioNeo uses the following open-source libraries, all of which run locally in your browser:

• @ffmpeg/ffmpeg (MIT License) — JavaScript wrapper around FFmpeg
• @ffmpeg/core (MIT License) — FFmpeg WebAssembly core

Data Security

Since your files never leave your device, the security of your data is entirely under your control. We strongly recommend:

• Using a modern, up-to-date browser (Chrome 90+, Firefox 90+, Safari 14+, Edge 90+)
• Not processing files containing highly sensitive information on shared or public computers
• Clearing your browser cache and cookies after using the service on shared devices

Children's Privacy

AudioNeo does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). Since we do not collect personal data from any users, our service is safe for all ages.

International Users (GDPR / CCPA)

AudioNeo is hosted on servers in the United States and Asia. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California, please note:

• Right to access — We hold no personal data on you, so there is nothing to access.
• Right to deletion — We hold no personal data on you, so there is nothing to delete.
• Right to data portability — Your files are never transmitted to us, so data portability is not applicable.
• Right to opt-out of sale — We do not sell any data, as we collect none.

Baidu Analytics may transfer anonymous usage data outside your jurisdiction. You can block Baidu Analytics by using browser privacy extensions or ad blockers that target hm.baidu.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of AudioNeo after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. For significant changes, we may display a notice on the homepage.
